This morning I awoke at five and watched the beginning of Kirov Ballet's Sleeping Beauty.
I have decided to attempt watching all the ballet classical before school begins. After such, I attended my classes and stayed at the school for front ensemble practice until six. I never made it to my other band obligations. I have a semi-small project due tomorrow for history, and I will work on that after I update this blog. In my in between times between classes or the lag between completing an assignment or finishing a test today, I dissected some DANCE magazines searching for opportunities to attend and audition for summer intensives and dance schools next year. I have a very late start; however, there are several promising programs still open. When I got home, I pulled up their websites and prepared for class. Less than half an hour later, I was at the studio. A new male dancer, Andrew, never seems to get to class. It's very frustrating, because ballet is an art that cannot be ignored or prioritized. At very least, he was there for the first class today I was unable to attend. The advanced ballet class I did take today, was in bare feet to help us work through our foot. It was an amazing class with nontraditional pieces such as Yesterday by the Beatles. I am eager for pointe class tomorrow, and the opportunity to become a better dancer. I would dance every moment of my life if I was permitted. Unfortunately, I must rest, attend school, and commit myself to marching band. For tonight, that is all.
Kressy.
