Tuesday, March 29th
Today I slept past my alarm and awoke at one. I've been missing an unacceptable amount of days in the past month. After finding no point in returning to school for creative writing, band, and percussion sectionals, I decided to take advantage of the day. I spent a majority of the time stretching, doing homework, working on my choreography, and watching dance videos. When my mom got home, I finished sewing the elastic on my new Chacott pointe shoes. At 6:30, I got ready for class. Class today was en pointe. I enjoyed the class and the new shoes. Dance has never been a sport; it becomes you. After class, my teacher confided to me I may have a major role in the little ballet this year.I was overjoyed and resolved to add that determination into my dance. While today was filled with the ballet exercises and routines I do everyday, it was a day off. Tomorrow, two or three times the work must be accomplished. Double pirouettes must become constant triples and school MUST be attended. I trust you to push me to become more than humanly possible- a ballerina. Tonight, it is time for sleep and research for this summer and next year.
